Actually, I knew some of the facts about fat being good for you so I was interested to find out more about this subject. The author gets detailed on the chemistry of foods and the body, the way the body breaks down foods, what types of food are good, and bad. I've been eating "healthy" for 20 years now, meaning, I rarely eat meat, mostly veggies, stay away from processed foods, sugars, etc and have been watching, reading and learning about the health, exercise industry for 20 years. I thought I was pretty well informed, and I learned a lot from this book. I particularly enjoyed the aspect on body chemistry and why certain foods are good/bad for you, not just that they are, but why they are and how to make better choices.I'm looking forward to implementing many of the easy actionable advice given in this book, and I highly recommend it not just to people interested in health and food, but everyone that wants to enjoy food more.
Excellent book based on the latest research on nutrition, specifically referring to the value of healthy fats which have the best bioavailability of many essential vitamins and minerals. Kush Karvandi is obviously quite knowledgeable about nutrition and exercise. Beyond the presentation of what the body technically needs, I also learned the specific foods to bring about a great state of health. Specific menus and shopping lists are great to have! Fantastic looking recipes make this program something to look forward to. I would definitely recommend this book but would suggest you get the soft-back cover so the recipes are more readily available.
Great easy read on how consumption of healthy fats and that healthy fats, contrary to nutritional dogma, can actually help you lose weight. I've lost roughly 20lbs from cutting out the majority of processed foods, eating more vegetables, eating less carbs and eating more healthy fats.It's great that Kusha breaks down the ways the body produces and consumes energy. How this relates to weight and muscle gain. The science of how it all fits together is bridged well with actually solutions with meal plans that people can follow.
Great book, I really enjoy how the scientific / biological process discussion was married with realistic advice and sensible solutions. My wife and I will definitely implement many of the recommendations.

This is a good book. No fluff straight to the point. Kusha knows his stuff. Btw the guy is ripped so he does what he preaches.
As a wellness practitioner of many years I'm glad to find a clear easy read that I can recommend for my clients as a resource to aid them in their health, fitness, and longevity pursuits. What I like most about this particular book is its ability to simplify and explain how our bodies use energy, and some simple steps to take to ensure that the food you're eating is supporting your health and not simply following the mainstream propaganda for low-fat diets(which cause many health issues) nor the non-health supporting practices of high-protein bodybuilder diets.
