Compared to the big 2 volume paper edition, the kindle version is a much better choice. The major complain I have is that the quality of tables is really really bad. You can hardly read anything for some of the bigger tables.Update on 9/2/2014:with the new expert consult, you can freely download electronic version from their website, so kindle version is now really good for nothing.Plus, they restrict download to 4 devices only. I purchased 2 years ago, and specifically asked how many devices to download to, and was told that the limit was 10. However, they changed after I bought the books (several other related books as well), and Amazon insists it has always been like that. But of course, it is never on the receipts and nobody saved the screen shot from 2 years ago. I consider this as FRAUD on amazon. It actually took the third person to find out the limit when I called. Apparently they expect us to know better than their customer service! How ridiculous!
I read it to study for my American Board of Dermatology recertification examination. Dr. Bolognia's excellent narratives of the pathophysiology of each disease tells an integrated story which leads logically to the cutaneous manifestations of each condition. A must have for any dermatologist wanting a definitive reference covering recent knowledge and future areas of research.m.
This edition is pretty similar to the last, but there are some new pictures. The kindle version works well only if you have a device that allows you to zoom in (such as the Nexus)- otherwise the tables are too small.

Comprehensive, brilliant, would purchase again.
A must for all Dermatologists. Full of details and pictures with intensive statistics, cases and reviews. Fitzpatrick and this book is a must to have for your dermatology references. the only difference is the CD where Fitzoatrick came with defult CD
